If you set the file filter in the Open dialog to "All Files" you will be able to browse to the DLL and load it. You can load that by going to the Menu, selecting Utilities -> MDL Applications. I have attached mine.Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\Microstation\mdlsys\asneeded\fontutilities.dll It's an XML file, so you can edit it with any text editor. So that you can tell which is the TTF and which is the RSC font when you set up your text.
#LABELLER FONT SOFTWARE#
Here you have the option to define individual fonts (or entire classes of fonts) as "Hidden" so that the software can't use them. I believe I solved my problem with the creation of a MstnFontConfig.xml and saving it to a networked location that I can point to with the MS_FONTCONFIGFILE. I'm not even sure which RSC it is (the client naming isn't as clear as I would like). No, I don't think I can get away with just deleting the RSC files. How can I get this "tahoma" RSC font OUT of the RSC file so that there is only one Tahoma to be found? Is there any other way to get around this RSC mess?
Even worse, on my computer, they LOOK the same, so finding the offending annotations and changing them to the proper font is tedious and frustrating. Which wreaks havoc whenever certain people open the file. Since not everybody we deal with has this Font RSC (including a few people in our other offices) we need to use the TTF, but the labeler keeps defaulting to the RSC version. Where did we get the RSC version? Probably in the standards from the client, and who knows why they have it. Geopak labeler wants to use the RSC version (tahoma).
We use TTF (Tahoma) for all of our annotation. I know I have run into this before, but it's been enough years that I don't remember the fix.
